I hope that when you said Flash comes with Chrome you only meant pepperspray and not the one I lost because that's the one I like and work with better (both ActiveX and Chrome). Now I only got the pepperspray, which I had disabled ages ago because it does nothing but crash, and the one I downloaded later and now lost, is a goner! My desktop only shows the place where AFP would have been, its name still on the phantom icon, but when I try to open it, it says it is no longer there! Still, do you see what this means? This McAffee tool came riding on the back of Adobe's reputation and popularity and then, like a good little parasite, when it went, it took Adobe down with it! I had to get rid of McAffee and intended to reinstall AFP 12 ActX and Plugin immediately after. Now, the process of uninstalation had a warning that, if I went ahead with it, I would also lose Adobe Flash Player 12 ActiveX and the 12 Plugin. I had to uninstall the McAffee Tool and "Genuine"Check. It took looong minutes to go from page to page, even on the same website, to load links, even save or view pics. After that, my laptop started working horribly slow, to the point of impotent rage. Oh, it also asked me for unlimited access to my computer! And I gave it. It performed the scan and I left it at that. I didn't need the McAffee tool because I got Avast Antivirus and Comodo Firewall, but it was only a quick but thorough check, or so I thought, and so I went for it.

It was after an Adobe update, whose download had the option to get a McAffee Scanning Tool as well to check my security (and something from Windows apparently, called GenuineCheck).

I lost Adobe Flash Player 12 ActiveX and 12 Plugin. I need help re: Adobe, not version 10 of course, because we're in 2014, but 12. I hope you're still around as your answer is from 2008.

Per Google, in Chrome 76 "Flash will be disabled by default, but can be enabled in Settings at which point explicit permission is still required for each site when the browser is restarted." This change will "Require affirmative user choice to run Flash Player."Įssentially, if Flash Player installed successfully (meaning no errors and install time), and Flash content isn't display, the issue is going to lie with the browser (blocking Flash), and/or with the content not confirming to the various Flash detection changes implemented by the browser vendor.Hi. The next big change in how Chrome handles Flash will be in Chrome 76, scheduled for July 2019.Users will not be prompted to enable Flash, but it will still be possible to activate Flash on certain sites using browser settings" Not sure if this has been implemented yet or not.

I do not know how or when it stopped working but no amount of re-installing the latest version is helping to resolve this, and so I hope someone can clue me in on this forum.Īll browsers block Flash by default and browser vendor changes in recent browser versions are making it more difficult for the browser to detect the Flash content and prompt the user to allow Flash in the browser. To view this page ensure that Adobe Flash Player version 10.2.0 or greater is installed.Įssentially I can not use Abdobe Flash with any browser on this system.

In all cases I do not see any request to click anything. Step 3 for FF says you need to click to activate. I am not being asked to close the browser. Going to step 2 and following the instructions. Sorry, Flash Player is either not installed or not enabled.

Installation problems | Flash Player | Windows 7 and earlier I downloaded and installed Adobe Flash and I kept seeing "Adobe Flash Not Installed" in all the listed browsers.
